AUGI has been polling it's members on Salary and job information for nineteen years, please see the results of these surveys below.
Thousands of people from all over the world respond every year (with 30% of our responses coming from outside of the United States), and their participation helps everyone gain an understanding of our industry as a whole. Please particpate in next summer's survey!

Salary Survey 2022
Melanie Stone reports on the results of the AUGI Annual Survey, Mark Kiker covers how to ask for more staff, and KaDe King provides advice on how negotiate pay raises or starting salaries.
Remote workers have quadrupled since 2019. The ability to telecommute increased to 55% (far above the 15% who had this benefit a decade ago). The majority of market specialties reported staffing issues. 86% of Designers felt Secure in their jobs, and 83% of them received a raise. Occupational outlook shows a large shortfall of Mechanical Engineers is coming.

Salary Survey 2021
Urban workers continue to decline and remote workers go up. And, for the first time ever, Architecture is not the most-represented industry in our report! Civil Engineering has taken first place. They're also the industry that did the most hiring last year. 44% of our industry received a raise this year. Salary Survey 2018
The 2018 Survey responses gave insight into the state of the industry over the preceding year. The industries which did the most hiring were MEP/FP, Civil/Surveying/GIS and Structural. The employees most likely to have new opportunities and new jobs were; BIM Coordinator, Coordinator (other), Application Engineer and BIM Manager.

The 2017 Survey responses gave insight into the state of the industry over the past year. The fields giving out the largest raises were Construction, Architecture and Electronics. BIM Managers and Programmers were the job titles with the largest wage increases. Salary Survey 2013
For the 12th run of the Annual AUGI Survey experienced a disappointingly low number of participants, but, the data gathered was still a good gauge of our industries. BIM Managers are the highest paid title, fuel is where it’s at for the highest paying industry, and Mining is the highest paid specialty.

Salary Survey 2012
The 11th run of the Salary Survey has been revamped with new questions and breakdowns, as well as a look back at numbers from the past decade. Melanie Perry reports that 45% of companies would have to change their policies to adopt cloud practices and only 36% of firms are not using BIM.
Also in this issue, Walt Sparling gives advice to those firms looking to retain their talent and Tom Cipolla speaks to industry experts about how to follow the money in visualization.

Salary Survey 2011
This marks the 10th run of the annual survey. See this year's numbers and take a look back at trends from the past decade. 8% of respondents experienced a reduction in pay. The survey results and reflections from Melanie Perry span eight pages, with an additional two pages of commentary on the Architecture industry by Elizabeth Conner.

Salary Survey 2010
In a sad continuation of events from last year, nearly 15% of our respondents received a reduction in pay. One bright spot were the energy fields, and we also saw a doubling of the volume of BIM Managers.

Salary Survey 2009
Not surprisingly, results of the 8th annual AUGI Salary Survey revealed that many members felt less secure about their respective jobs than in years past. While the overall number of responses was down slightly from the previous year, there remains a useful collection of salary, benefits, and other data that help AUGI members compare their stats with those of fellow members. The 2009 AUGI Salary Survey was published in AUGIWORLD magazine in Autumn 2009.

Salary Survey 2008
AUGI moved the Salary Survey from January to September, which means a more timely delivery of the salaries earned and benefits enjoyed by AUGI members. Now, key data is available at a time in the year when salaries are often reviewed and raises are budgeted for the upcoming year. The 2008 Salary Survey includes the traditional comparisons our members have come to expect as well as some new ones. The 2008 CAD Salary Survey was published in the Sept/Oct 2008 issue of AUGIWORLD.
