Poll: Revit MEP and the Salary Survey!

June 20th, 2013

First, I’ll review this month’s poll, then I will let you know what’s coming up next.

The homepage poll this month asked Revit MEP users (or potential users), whether or not they feel Revit MEP can perform as they would need it to. I’d like to thank Robert Bell for his review and suggestions on these options. And, also, thanks to Corey Daun, who has been assisting me with surveys and polls this year.

81% of the respondents indicate that they believe Revit MEP is useable, at least to some extent. 40% think it could mature further in order to make things easier, though.
19% of our responding users feel that Revit MEP is not up to the job.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to chime in on this hot topic, which has been a debate plaguing RMEP since it was first released as Revit Systems back in 2006.

Have you got questions about a difficult procedure, a life-saving tip to share or frustrations that you need to vent?

Do you have a great idea for improving the software?
(Note: you must have Revit MEP listed in your AUGI user profile, or you will not be able to submit and rank wishes for that product)

Have you found a reproducible bug? Submit it to Autodesk for review here:

Next Up!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to chime in on the survey on Local Users Groups. I hope you’ve noticed the website development efforts in the LUG area. If you have any questions, be sure to ping Shaunt.Bryant@augi.com and look for a review of the LUG survey results in next month’s HotNews, along with the usual poll results.

Please swing by www.augi.com to take part in the homepage poll this month on document management. A hot topic has sprung up in the AUGI forums, on whether technical or non-technical staff are overseeing your design files. http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?150237-Do-you-treat-document-control-as-an-admin-problem The conversation is quite interesting, touching on everything from workload to concern to billable hours.

And, of course, you know it’s that time again… the AUGI Annual Salary Survey! http://www.augi.com/surveys/current-survey/current-survey The survey launches today, and will run until July 22nd (noon Eastern). The results will be published in the September issue of AUGIWorld Magazine. I hope you enjoyed the new and improved survey that debuted in 2012, it will be much the same this year. Please continue to share your feedback with me at Melanie.perry@augi.com .
