Surveys Article: Sources of Learning

The next issue of AUGIWORLD Magazine centers on the topic of beginners. That is intentionally vague, as the articles could cover learning new software, or a plug-in or ramping up any of your skills to a higher level. I look forward to seeing what your content managers and authors have come up with.

Since we never really stop learning in our industry, we made this month’s poll all-encompassing. Which methods have gotten you where you are today? How have you kept up and improved your knowledge since you started?

There were multiple answers allowed, as we almost all utilize more than a single source of information and skill-building.

The vast majority of people do learn on the job, you will never leave school or a training program completely prepared for what awaits you.

There were many additional resources suggested, most of which I worked into the chart above. There were others, such as Autodesk Knowledge Network and RevitCity that we should not forget. Curious what you might be missing out on? Look through the list above or check out the questions and answers in the training forum for advice from many people.
