During Autodesk University, AUGI offers a variety of programs that educate, inform, test your skill, and help you become acquainted with other AUGI members. And some are just for fun. Here’s a brief description of AUGI-sponsored activities.

Top DAUG t-shirt design contest
Even before AU kicks off, you can get involved in this year’s AU. AUGI is pleased to announce the “Second Annual Top DAUG T-Shirt Design competition”.

Submit a design to be printed on this year’s AUGI Top DAUG T-shirt. The t-shirt will be distributed at Autodesk University 2008 to all who participate in the AUGI Top DAUG challenge at AU. The T-shirts will also be distributed at the 2009 AUGI CAD Camp events to attendees who take the Top DAUG challenge.

AUGI HotNews Daily
These informative, print-based newsletters keep attendees abreast of all the news and activities taking place at Autodesk University every day.

This year, AUGI is going green. The HotNews Daily will be delivered to your phone, your web browser, or your handheld. Completely green and completely digital, the 2008 AUGI HotNews Daily will be available only via RSS or as additional pages on BLAUGI. Visit http://www.blaugi.com/ for more information.

Top DAUG Contest
Attendees can pit their AutoCAD knowledge and skill against other AU attendees at the AUGI Top DAUG challenge. Open to all Autodesk University attendees, Top DAUG consists of a two-part competition, consisting of both AutoCAD knowledge and drawing skills. The Top DAUG “Finals”, which will consist of an entirely new format, will determine the Top DAUG for the coming year!

AUGI Day 2008
Wear your vintage and new AUGI gear on Wednesday, officially designated as AUGI Day at AU 2008. Wear your AUGI gear and get recognized for great prizes.

Throughout the day, AUGI Volunteers and Board members will be on the lookout for members sporting their AUGI pride. If you are noticed you will get a “speeding ticket”. Bring that ticket to the Annual Meeting for an opportunity at a fantastic prize. Make sure to keep your AUGI gear on when you attend the AUGI Annual Meeting for an extra opportunity at great prizes.

AUGI Beer Mugs at the Annual AUGI Beer Bust
No trip to Autodesk University is complete without attending the traditional AUGI Beer Bust. And no appearance at the Beer Bust is complete without a commemorative AUGI Beer Mug. These collectible mugs are a must-have souvenir from Autodesk University! Get yours by attending the AUGI Annual Meeting Wednesday evening at 05:00 PM.
