The AutoCAD Forums
Someone is always working to make AUGI better, including the AutoCAD Community. Keep your eye on www.Blaugi.com the official announcement, for links to new forums throughout AUGI.com, and any future developments. The Value of a Community I recently took part in the Map 3D Marathon. Here, Autodesk pulls in 20-30 users to go over the first beta for the new release. The first day, we played with the new features in order to try and break them so we could find bug. This is similar to what you can do as a beta tester if you sign up at http://myFeedback.autodesk.com. The significant difference at the marathon was that the feature testing was followed by a couple of days of interviews with Autodesk team members with different interests. Some were software architects, some were product managers, some were technical writers. All branches of a products management were represented. The value in doing this was that I felt that ideas came to me that I wouldn't have thought of or remembered without the benefit of team leaders asking pointed questions, fellow marathoners relating their experiences, and visual aids such as lcd projectors displaying the software. I thought that this is similar to the benefit that many get from being part of the AUGI community. You can ask questions of other who may have more experience than you, or simply can remember something you forgot. You can simply monitor conversations in the hopes of picking up something useful. You can see how industry trends are going in other areas that might affect you. You can get the latest industry news. Autodesk University is another opportunity to benefit from the experience of the AutoCAD based community and meet others whom you may have only know through online communication. You might spot me at the AUGI booth. See you there. Forum Tips For everyone's benefit, please be sure to familiarize yourself with all of the Forum Guidelines. Suggestions If you have any suggestions that you feel will help to shape our community, feel free to contact any team member. If it is forum-specific, continue to post in the Forum Feedback area. Is my post advertising? AUGI has specific guidelines regarding advertising. It isn't allowed! Please, take this into consideration when contributing. If you'd like to help a member and aren't sure if your reply will be considered advertising, refer to AUGI guidelines and/or contact a moderator for assistance. Again, Welcome to the forums!
