Individuals in the public and private sectors face this challenge regularly and have come together to develop a support network to facilitate the integration of the most commonly used and significantly overlapping platforms. The user groups wishes to support individuals at all skill levels and professional stations, including geodatabase management, internet based viewers, regional planning, private entrepreneurs, site-scale development, and engineering. The recent release of Autodesk Map 2007 promises to bridge the gap between the various GIS platforms and Autodesk software .
