President’s Message: Starting 2010 with a Bang

November 29th, 2010

AUGI is celebrating it’s twentieth year and we started off with a slew of benefit opportunities. Members have always been our focus and that continues as displayed in our new rollouts.

CAD Camp is Back CAD Camps return as a unique learning and networking event that delivers results. During this single-day, off-site Autodesk product training classes, you’ll hone your skills, expand your mind, share solutions, and boost your productivity. Head to AUGI CAD Camp, and equip yourself with the powerful tools that will take you straight to the top.

Every AUGI CAD Camp experience promises:

  • A full day of Autodesk product training. Five different tracks provide targeted Autodesk product training, giving you significant knowledge in a short period of time.
  • Serious educational instruction. Top instructors from across the country – many of whom also teach at Autodesk University – share expert advice and key insights.
  • Invaluable networking opportunities. Some of the best information available comes from your fellow Autodesk product users. AUGI CAD Camp gives you ample time to share tips and techniques.
  • A closer look at technology. Autodesk partners will be on hand to showcase new products and updates, and further enlighten you on upcoming products and industry trends. The first events are coming in February.

ATP – AUGI Training Program

The team is in place and prepping for a great year. Ken Leary, ATP Director, has this to say about the ATP in 2010: "This is going to be an exciting new year for AUGI and the AUGI Training Program (ATP). The ATP is, without doubt, one of AUGI's best membership benefits. If you haven't taken a class lately, you might be surprised at some of the changes that have taken place in the program.

We have restructured the ATP Team and the entire program from the ground up. We look forward to the opportunity to serve the AUGI members better than we ever have before. We have new, exciting classes which we'll be adding to the schedule for you, and more courses will be on the topics that you’ve been requesting. We’ll also be bringing back older, popular classes throughout the year."

Now meet the rest of the ATP team:
Eric Wing - ATP Manager
Jessica Richards - ATP Coordinator
Ed Jobe - ATP Forum Coordinator
Lynda Jensen - ATP Managing Editor
Crystal Edmiston - ATP Recruiter (Note: Contact Crystal to become an instructor – we are looking to expand our stable of trainers.)

This month's classes include:

  • From Surviving to Excelling at AutoCAD
  • VBA - Logic, Debugging and Error Handling
  • Creating an annotative family in Revit MEP 2010
