Add another dimension to your designs with Autodesk Inventor LT Suite!

It’s a 3D world, but we all know that a lot of design is still done in 2D using AutoCAD and there is a wealth of design data still stored in 2D DWG files. To help bridge the gap between the two, Autodesk created the AutoCAD Inventor LT Suite – a product which combines both Inventor LT and AutoCAD LT software in a single package. The product was developed to help make it more practical and affordable for mechanical design professionals to start adding the productivity benefits of 3D without having to reinvent their whole design processes.

Autodesk Inventor LT offers 3D parametric modeling, multi-CAD translation capabilities, automated DWG drawings views and other advanced capabilities found in Autodesk Inventor. The primary difference between Inventor LT and it’s more powerful older brother is that full Inventor can handle assemblies of many parts while Inventor LT is focused on single part designs as are common in many small manufacturing operations.

Inventor LT is interoperable with the included version of AutoCAD LT. Models built in Inventor LT can be documented in the Inventor LT drawing environment then automatically saved as DWG files and opened in AutoCAD LT. Any changes made to the Inventor LT model automatically propagate to the DWG file. Users can also cut-and-paste directly from AutoCAD LT into Inventor LT so that existing 2D designs can rapidly be recreated in 3D.

While the AutoCAD Inventor LT Suite is primarily targeted at designers in the manufacturing community, the product also has some special features to bridge the gap between mechanical and architectural designs. Autodesk Inventor LT includes unique “shrinkwrap” technology which simplify the Inventor LT models into lightweight representations that exclude details that are not necessary for downstream consumption. In addition, Inventor LT includes AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) Exchange tools which create and publish simplified 3D representations, intelligent connection points, and additional information in ADPx files for use with AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Architecture, and Revit.

Autodesk has initiated a series of programs to promote the AutoCAD Inventor LT Suite to users in the mechanical and architectural markets. Special promotions are being offered for new users as well as AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT users.

Autodesk has partnered with AUGI so that AUGI receives special commissions any online product sales. For more information and to take advantage of the special promotions and help support the AUGI programs you enjoy, click on the image above or follow this link to the store.
