Crystal, or Crys to her friends, started CADing on R12 as the only girl in the drafting class her senior year of high school. She fell in love. She has an A.A.S. in Drafting and Design. She has been doing electrical drafting for the last 5 years and has no intentions of leaving any time soon. In her free time, she likes to dance and ride motorcycles. But most of all, she enjoys being with her pride and joy, the light of her life, her 3 and a half year-old daughter, Araya.

Discovering this field by accident, Jessica started working part time as an apprentice at an energy documentation company at 17 and became a Title 24 Certified Energy Plans Examiner a year later. She loved that job and was just about the only person she knew who would get excited about fenestration and insulation. In the company they called HVAC layouts “mechanical drafts” so when she saw a class in mechanical drafting at the local community college she enrolled thinking she would be advancing her energy career. Imagine her surprise when it was an AutoCAD course! She enjoyed it and kept taking CAD classes—through 3D and animation with 3D-Max. She switched jobs for a more creative drafting and design job in the Facilities/Showroom Design department of a large marble and tile company. She has been working here (and using CAD every day) since 2001 and claims to be the consummate CAD nerd!
