Start Date: Friday, August 6, 2010
In this course, Stacey will introduce you to the concepts and benefits of Annotative Scales, and use hands-on training to fully immerse you into the world of the CANNOSCALE variable and its friends.
Category: AutoCAD
Course Title: ATP206 - Annotative Scales in 2008
Instructor: CADDmanVA
Status: Archived
In the “old days”, preparing drawings at differing scales proved to be a difficult undertaking, with plenty of opportunity for error. Beginning with AutoCAD 2008, Autodesk introduced Annotative Scales. Using Annotative Scale, a draftsperson can quickly produce drawings at different scales without compromising CADD Standards and Best Practices for text height, hatch sizes, etc. In this course, Stacey will introduce you to the concepts and benefits of Annotative Scales, and use hands-on training to fully immerse you into the world of the CANNOSCALE variable and its friends. You may even be surprised at the far-reaching effects and usefulness of Annotative Scales in blocks, XREF’s and more. While this course will be very intensive with concepts and information, the material itself will be interesting enough for the most ADHD student and concise enough for even the busiest student.

Instructor: dxarhoulakos
Status: Archived
This class is a continuation of the Beginner course. The focus of this class will be to learn about some of the more advanced viewing, and mark-up features. We will cover creating, viewing, and marking up 3D models. In addition, we’ll evaluate some commonly used workflows in the industry, and how DWF’s, and AutoCAD 2008 might change it. This class will be based on architectural workflows; however, Design Review and DWF’s can be used by CAD users across all disciplines. Design Review is a free download, but it will be helpful to working copy of AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
