I think you might like this site, it's a little sandbox, where Autodesk can play with some ideas and features. Take a look through this list of items that work with (or within) AutoCAD and see if there are any exciting game-changers that catch your eye.

Whether it's the Community Commands, to peek into how others are working, or the Shape Extraction for AutoCAD, which allows you to convert point clouds into geometry (if you didn't know that AutoCAD 2011 can work with point clouds, check out HotNews for more details).
