2014 vertical bar joists

All, I have quite the challenging hurdle in a project of mine. We have the curved/orbital walls that we are supporting with vertical bowstring trusses (see attached). Has anyone ever attempted to model something like this in Revit?

2013 Easy/Better way to convert 3D AutoCAD or REVIT to a STEP file?

Update.. I did find that it works better if, while in Revit, export to an SAT file (with solids which what I need) and then opening that with Inventor, it works much better and faster. And then exporting that file to an STP file works for my purposes.

2013 too dense to hatch error

There is an internal maxhatch setting. You need to make it larger with a command line lisp code: (setenv "MaxHatch" "1000000") Also, if you are on a civil drawing out in the millions, you may want to set a ucs close to your site. Hatch patterns work off of angles, which the calculation gets...

Are Dual Xeons Obsolete for CAD?

On the hardware side, about all you can do with that config is swap out the C: drive for a SSD disk.. Or overclock it and add water cooling....
