Welcome to the AUGI Revit Community!

The Ribbon UI descended upon us in 2009 and we probably heard more than we wanted about it. There were T-shirts done for and against it. Tempers flared but overall it seems that the anger has subsided a little bit. On the most part I have avoided joining conversations within these forums on the topic. Hopefully less moderator intervention leads to a better representation of user sentiment, from which Autodesk could learn a lot.

Traditionally the Beta testing cycles start around this time of year (January) and we're all crossing our fingers that improvements have been made in several areas, Ribbon UI included. Hopefully this year we will be overwhelmed with new functionality and performance improvements. You, the user, have several avenues to make your voice heard throughout the year:

Submit your wishes on the AUGI Wishlist for Revit Architecture. Remember that this can also be used for Revit Platform wishes, whereas anything directly related to the MEP and Structural disciplines can be posted in their respective forums;
Follow the blog Inside the Factory and comment on the various posts authored by the Revit team. This has been a great place over the last year to gauge what the Factory is potentially working on and to see what other readers think through their comments;
Participate in Usability testing;
Provide feedback to Autodesk directly through this form.

As we wait for the new releases, I hope that on the economic front things will start to improve for each and every one of you. There has never been a better time to focus on self-development and master that new skill so you can position yourself to be better than the competition. Even though moods can be gloomy at times, I encourage you to not let that get the better of you and be reflected through your forum posts. Let's please keep this space as positive as possible, a place where users get together to help each other out and offer their expertise in exchange for more of the same. No one wants to visit a community where negative vibes run rampant. I'm sure we can all agree on that.
